Westmed Medical Group was recently recognized on DiversityInc’s list of Top Regional Companies for Diversity in 2021!
Westmed was named among some other distinguished organizations in the country, who are known as “best-in-class” when it comes to creating and retaining a diverse workforce, enacting fair and equitable measures for their employees and creating an environment where equality and inclusion is promoted at all levels. Our progress on this journey towards nurturing a more diverse and inclusive workplace for all is in thanks to the incredible team here at Westmed. We have made great strides over the last twelve months in pursuing these goals including:
- Launched our Westmed Diversity & Inclusion Council which is focused on enhancing inclusivity through the lens of employee education, vendor diversity and community engagement.
- Published our 2020 Social Impact Report, with updated statistics reflecting our Culture of Inclusivity: 76% of our senior management team is female; 61% of our front line managers and supervisors represent an ethnic minority; 55% of our entire WMG team is racially diverse; 38% of our team are in the Millennial generation.
- Hosted an “Unconscious Bias” training for our management team, to bring attention to the ways bias can affect critical decision making in an organization.
