Westmed Medical Group is offering support to US government employees affected by the government shut-down by allowing for deferral of co-pays, deductibles and/or patient balances during this time.
“We are aware that families in the area are financially impacted by the government shut-down, which is why we have expanded our hardship policy for furloughed government workers. We want people to have uninterrupted access to quality care, particularly in times of hardship and we’re here to support the community and help ensure their continued health and wellness.” said Anthony Viceroy, CEO of Westmed Medical Group.
Those affected by the government shutdown, will be billed their financial portion of any service provided during this time; however they will not be required to make a payment to Westmed Medical Group at the time of service. Payments on pending account balances can also be deferred by arrangement with Westmed’s billing department. Collection of amounts due will be deferred until regular government operations resume.
For any questions about this policy or your bill, please contact Westmed’s billing department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
