What you Need to Know About Westmed’s New Appointment Reminders

What you Need to Know About Westmed’s New Appointment Reminders

Westmed is launching a new patient communication tool that makes it possible for us to send you automated digital reminders of your appointments by both email and text message.

Q: Will the New Reminders be Used for All Westmed Office Locations?

The new digital reminder service will start with Westmed’s office in Yonkers at the Boyce Thompson Center and in Purchase at 3030 Westchester Avenue.  Our other offices will be using the new service in coming weeks.

Q: How Will I be Reminded of my Appointments?

If you have a scheduled appointment, and your mobile phone and/or email address is on file, you will be reminded by text message and/or email about your upcoming appointment:

  • 7 days before the appointment
  • 2 days before the appointment and
  • 2 hours before the appointment

Q: If I want to opt out of email or text messages, what should I do?

To opt out of email messages, you can follow the prompts to “unsubscribe”.  If you wish to opt out of text messages, you can follow the “stop” prompts.

Please note:  if you previously opted out of email or text message communication, you will need to opt out again with this new reminders system in order to update your preferences.  Follow the “unsubscribe” instructions at the bottom of your reminder email, and the “STOP” prompts in order to opt-out of this communication.
