Preventative Treatment, Counseling and Vaccinations Offered:

 

All routine Vaccinations including:

  • Meningitis vaccine
  • Typhoid vaccine
  • Japanese Encephalitis vaccine
  • Hepatitis A &B vaccine
  • Rabies vaccine
  • Diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus vaccine
  • Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccine
  • Polio vaccine
  • Seasonal influenza vaccine

Preventative Treatment and Counseling:

  • Malaria prevention and Precautions against insect bites
  • Zika virus counseling
  • High altitude sickness prevention
  • Traveler’s diarrhea prevention
  • Safe health practices for travel abroad

Post Travel Illnesses:

  • Our infectious disease doctors are available to see you if there is any concern for travel related infections that occur after your return.

Exclusions:

  • Travelers 17 years old and younger are not seen for travel consultations, please contact your pediatrician for further recommendations.
  • Yellow fever vaccine is not offered at West Med due to national shortage
