
About the Provider
Theresa Hwang has been practicing physical therapy for 18 years. She received her master’s degree from New York Medical College and her clinical
doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Southern California (USC).
While working at various outpatient orthopedic clinics, she has specialized in
restoring movement and functional performance in individuals with
musculoskeletal disorders and has earned a Specialist Certification in
Orthopedics (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
Dr. Hwang has taught as an adjunct clinical instructor in both the USC and New York Medical College doctoral level physical therapy programs. Her background consists of training in joint manipulation/mobilization, pain control and kinesiotaping to correct and improve movement. She is also a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist through the Back School of Atlanta, providing on-site assessments and recommendations on design, function and work factors.
Her focus is on restoring mobility and strength through a variety of manual therapy techniques and functional/sports-specific exercises, helping her patients get back to their highest level of function.
