Dr. Carolan is board certified in obstetrics, gynecology and urogynecology. He has special interests in minimally invasive surgery, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
After graduating summa cum laude from St. John’s University, he received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his postgraduate training through the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington. He is a Fellow, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Carolan is affiliated with Greenwich Hospital, where he is the former chairman of the obstetrics and gynecology department, and The Rye Ambulatory Surgery Center. He was in private practice prior to joining Westmed Medical Group in February 2005.

Dr. Carolan is terrific. He has always reviewed my file, asks me a lot of spot-on questions and he listens carefully. He knows exactly what I should be experiencing at my stage and gives me valuable information about what to expect.

*Dr. Carolan is not my regular OBGYN but he knew my medical history extremely well. He was very friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable.. It was the most thorough exam I have had which is even more impressive since I have only seen him twice over the past 5 years. He remembered me and my record.
