About the Provider
Dr. Serebnitsky received her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from City University of New York at Brooklyn College with a major in psychology and minor in art history. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from State University of New York at Downstate College of Medicine.
Dr. Serebnitsky began her post-graduate training with a preliminary year in internal medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital followed by a residency in anesthesiology, with an emphasis on regional and neuroanesthesia, at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center. In 2010, she completed a Fellowship in interventional pain management at the same institution.
Prior to joining Westmed, Dr. Serebnitsky practiced interventional pain management at Astoria Pain Management located in Queens, NY and Pain Physicians in Brooklyn, NY. Before that she worked at Queens Endoscopy Ambulatory Surgery Center as an anesthesiologist for office-based gastroenterology procedures.
Dr. Serebnitsky is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both anesthesiology and pain management. She specializes in the treatment of back and neck pain, spinal stenosis, failed back surgery syndromes, arthritis, headaches, neuropathic pain, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, joint pain and other chronic pain syndromes. Her goal is to help patients resume an active lifestyle and improve quality of life. Dr. Serebnitsky believes in using a multidisciplinary approach to formulate an individual treatment plan for each patient. She offers the latest therapeutic options including epidural injections, nerve blocks, botox, PRP, intradiscal procedures, radiofrequency neurolysis and spinal cord or peripheral nerve stimulation.
