Dr. Silver, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, received his bachelor of science degree summa cum laude from Yeshiva University.  He then received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopedic surgery at Maimonides Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at Yale University.

He subspecializes in sports medicine and has a particular interest in partial, total and reverse shoulder replacements; total knee replacements; arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, hip and ankle; ACL surgery;  PCL knee reconstruction; rotator cuff repairs, SLAP and labral repairs; and shoulder instability surgery.

Currently, Dr. Silver is also assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Yale University School of Medicine.

He is the former team physician for Yale University Athletics, Yale University Football and Beast of New Haven AHL hockey.

Dr. Silver joined Westmed with Orthopaedic Associates of Stamford. He is affiliated with the Specialty Surgery Center of Connecticut, Greenwich Hospital, Stamford Hospital and West Haven Veterans Hospital.
