About the Provider
Dr. Varughese is board certified in infectious disease, internal medicine and pediatrics. She was awarded her medical degree from Rush University in Chicago, where she also completed her residency training. She then completed an infectious disease fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY.
Currently, she is the medical officer for Americares in Stamford, CT. Previously she was a clinical infectious disease attending at Norwalk Medical Group and Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut, and also worked in the Norwalk Community Health Center’s HIV clinic. She also participated in medical missions to India and South Africa, researched breastfeeding practices and infant health in Ecuador and worked in primary care and school-based health education in Guatemala.
Dr. Varughese is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the Connecticut Infectious Disease Society.
