About the Provider
Jamie Feit is a certified registered dietitian (RD). She received her undergraduate degree in international finance from George Washington University and her Master of Science degree in clinical nutrition from New York University. Jamie completed her dietetic internship through New York University at The Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Prior to joining Westmed, Jamie was a wellness educator for 1199 Union Benefits Program, an independent nutrition consultant, and provided per diem nutrition coverage at Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, NY. She also held a variety of nutrition-related positions at Mount Sinai Medical Center, including research coordinator and clinical nutritionist in the Division of Endocrinology and was later promoted to nutrition supervisor at the Diabetes Center.
As a member of Westmed’s Comprehensive Weight Loss Center team and Healthy Measures Program, Jamie works with each client to build a meal plan that fits her/his lifestyle. She loves to entertain, prepare healthy food and exercise. She has published two cookbooks: The Celiac Disease Diet Plan: Your Guide to a Healthy Gluten-Free Lifestyle and Kosher Cookbook for the Family: 75 Recipes to Make at Home.
Jamie is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the American Association of Diabetes Educators and the American Diabetes Association.
