About the Provider
Dr. Leader is the department chair for Westmed’s hospitalist program at White Plains and Greenwich Hospitals.
Dr. Leader completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont and was awarded his medical degree from the Robert Larner College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, N.Y., where he received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Outstanding Teaching of Medical Students Award.
Prior to joining Westmed, Dr. Leader worked in the Montefiore health system as an attending physician and instructor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he taught resident physicians and medical students. He has authored and published many scholarly articles in the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
Prior to enrolling at the University of Vermont, Dr. Leader served in the US.. Army where he received numerous commendations. He later taught English and studied abroad, achieving a high degree of fluency in Japanese and basic Spanish. In his spare time he enjoys music, tennis, and spending time with family
Dr. Leader is a member of The American College of Physicians, The Society of General Internal Medicine and The Society of Hospital Medicine.
