Dr. Lorch is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Dartmouth College. She was awarded her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency in internal medicine and geriatrics fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Previously, Dr. Lorch practiced internal medicine at James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. She also served as assistant clinical professor at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where she had an active role in teaching medical students and was awarded preceptor of the year.
