Dr. Arthur L. Forni obtained a bachelor of science degree in biology and psychology and master of science in English literature from SUNY Stony Brook. He then was awarded his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, and also served as assistant chief medical resident at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in infectious diseases and was chief medical resident at The New York Hospital. He is board certified in both internal medicine and infectious diseases. His clinical interests include hospital-acquired infections, tropical and travel medicine, HIV and Lyme disease.

More recently, Dr. Forni has obtained a masters of medical management degree from Carnegie Mellon University and is currently the chief medical officer for Westmed Practice Partners, a managed services organization that provides business resources, administrative support and clinical analytics for medical practices.

Dr. Forni is a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Disease Society of America.
