Congratulations to Dr. Calie Santana, Westmed’s Chief Informatics Officer, for being appointed as president elect of the AMGA (American Medical Group Association) CMO/CIO Council.
The Council is a trusted network of chief information and chief medical information officers engaged in their organizations’ efforts to make use of information technologies to more effectively turn data into knowledge, and make it available in order to deliver high quality patient care. Dr. Santana will serve for three years in this position where she will help to share best practices and learnings and help further innovation in the field of medical information.
As Chief Informatics Officer at Westmed, Dr. Santana leads the design and measurement of provider metrics, implements EHR-based population health workflows, and manages the data analytics for pay for performance contracts, including Westmed’s participation in the CMS Shared Savings Program. She also supervises Westmed’s Credentialing and payer enrollment efforts as well as payer contracting.
Dr. Santana joined Westmed in 2016 and practices internal medicine in addition to her executive role at Westmed.
