Dr. Scheinthal is a board-certified pediatrician
by both the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Osteopathic
Pediatricians She received her bachelor
of arts degree and graduated magna cum
laude in neuroscience from Brandeis University. She received her medical degree from the
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she was awarded
“Outstanding Achievement in Pediatrics.” Dr. Scheinthal completed her postgraduate
training at Maimonides Medical Center.
Prior to becoming a physician at WESTMED, Dr.
Scheinthal served as a pediatric hospitalist at Maimonides Medical Center in
Brooklyn. Thereafter, she worked in
private practice in the Hudson Valley Region.
Dr. Scheinthal enjoys
working with infants, children, teens and their parents. She takes a holistic approach to her patients
and their families, and has a special interest in developmental disabilities
and adoption. She
has also been selected to write and review exam questions for the National
Board of Medical Examiners. She lives in Westchester with her husband and
