Dr. Monroe is board certified in medical oncology,
hematology and internal medicine. She was awarded her medical degree from
Cornell University Medical College. She completed her residency in internal
medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and a
fellowship in hematology/oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and
New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Most recently, she was a practicing physician with
the Westchester Institute for Treatment of Cancer and Blood Disorders. She is also the director of clinical research
at White Plains Hospital’s Dickstein Cancer Center and an attending physician
at White Plains Hospital. She served as
the hospital’s division chief of hematology and oncology from 2006 to 2010.
She treats all types of cancer with a particular
focus on the treatment of breast cancer and other women’s malignancies
