“A Mohs specialty allows me to recognize skin cancers, use surgery to remove them and interpret the tissue with a microscope to make sure it’s all gone. I provide information to patients to make them more comfortable with the diagnosis, treatment and future prevention for a common and often scary diagnosis.”

Dr. Monk completed a Mohs College and American Academy of Dermatology-recognized procedural dermatology fellowship. He is trained in the Mohs surgery technique for removing several types of skin cancers, reconstruction of the resulting surgical defects, as well as in cosmetic, laser and light procedures.

Dr. Monk is a member of the Mohs College. The Mohs College is the premier Mohs organization in the United States, setting the standards for the practice. It has the most rigorous experience requirements for membership.
