Dr. Simeon Schwartz is founding president of WESTMED Medical Group, which was formed in 1996. Since then, the group has grown to a 250-physician, multispecialty group practice.
Dr. Schwartz has been committed to improving both operational and clinical efficiency with a focus on quality. To accomplish this, Dr. Schwartz and WESTMED have been early adopters of healthcare IT and have worked with many IT vendors in the areas of process and system redesign to improve care.
Dr. Schwartz is a hematologist and oncologist who is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, hematology and blood banking. He received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven. Dr. Schwartz then completed his internship and residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at Weill Cornell School of Medical Care. Dr. Schwartz is an attending physician at White Plains Hospital, Greenwich Hospital and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He serves on multiple medical advisory boards.
Dr. Schwartz is married and has three children. He has been listed multiple times in New York Magazine and Westchester Magazine “Best Doctors” issues.
