PACS Analyst

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
POSITION TYPE: full time

Description

Responsible for the installation, modification, configuration and maintenance of the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archival & Communication System (PACS) and related systems.  Provides technical expertise in implementing and supporting all RIS/PACS functions. 


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  •  Ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM digital imaging data

  •  Coordinate with vendors as necessary to provide RIS/PACS services

  •  Provide assistance, guidance, technical support and training to employees and third parties

  •  Monitor, evaluate and improve performance metrics

  •  Perform QA/QC for displays ACR

  •  Investigate, identify, prepare proposals and implement solutions to solve specific problems

 

 Immediate need, local candidates only, will not relocate.

 


Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
  • Experience in health care.
  • 3-5 yrs experience.
  • Knowledge of PACS a plus, Enterprise Archive, HIS/RIS and EMR system and software capabilities, operations and integration issues.
  • Expertise in DICOM and HL7 required.
  • Experience providing technical leadership
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
