WESTMED’s Weight Management Program (WMP) helps people who are motivated to lose weight for better health. The program gives participants a medically based, structured and coordinated approach as well as personalized attention and frequent follow-ups to meet your weight loss goals.
Team members are Dr. Nitya Sharma, an internist and weight management specialist, Jennifer Schaeffer, RD, a dietician; and Joanne Santos, program coordinator.

The WMP offers treatment options ranging from low-calorie diets to meal replacements to medications that are delivered either through the physician or dietician. Office visits may be billable to insurance if the patient meets certain health risk indicators.
