In early October, the American Heart Association of Westchester and Fairfield Counties asked the community to “step up for your heart.” Heart disease remains this country’s No. 1 killer of all Americans. To support local heart-health education and activities, WESTMED was a proud sponsor of the October 2nd Start! Heart Walk at Kensico Dam in White Plains.
The Start! Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's main event for raising funds to save lives from heart disease and stroke. As a team, WESTMED raised over $3,300 and counting and had more than 50 employees, physicians, friends and family in attendance.
