A “medical home” is a medical office where a team of health professionals work together to provide a new, expanded type of care to patients through every stage of their lives.

Because of this distinction, WESTMED can be a credentialing organization, meaning that insurance carriers can delegate credentialing to WESTMED. This gives our patients faster access to qualified physicians.

This is the only national program to recognize physicians who organize their practices around quality care using electronic systems to assist them in preventing medical errors.
